The Rural Business Investment Scheme is scheduled to open for applications in 2015.

The aim of the Rural Business Investment Scheme is to create and develop a non-agricultural businesses in rural areas and is an excellent opportunity for people with a business idea and for those who wish to grow and develop established businesses.

The Rural Business Investment Scheme is a separate programme from the larger Farm Business Improvement Scheme.

At this stage, the technical document relating to the scheme and all other aspects of the Programme is under consideration by the European Commission.  I anticipate that this will soon be signed off for administering by the Local Action Group (LAG).
